Do You Believe in Luck?

It's almost St. Patrick's day, and of course, I'm celebrating the occasion at work by encouraging my students to write about whether or not they actually believe in luck. Is there such a thing as a twist of fate, or do you work hard to make your own luck? That's up to you to decide.

I find it a little bit ironic, because I don't really believe in luck (even though I named my last book's protagonist Lucky). Don't get me wrong, I believe in fate. I just don't think it's luck. I think it's God, so I always say someone is blessed instead of lucky.

I've been blessed to be able to find the time to write. This month, I'm launching a new serial fiction story that I've been meaning to write for a long time. I've got a lot of stories started that have taken a back seat on the burner, but that's okay. This story is important. I'd like to finish it before I die one of these days.

Red Writing is a different genre than what I usually write. It isn't paranormal. There's nothing fantasy about it. It's geared towards all audiences so that even my students can read it. That said, I don't plan to dumb down the writing. I want this story to reach anyone it needs to reach! And, if it finds its way into your hands, I'll feel very lucky--err, blessed. You can read Red Writing today by clicking on the images below. Happy March!
